A wonderful ring from the mid 20th Century, c1950s. The ring is made from sterling silver and has a beautiful synthetic sapphire at the centre. The sapphire has a stunning vibrancy and the blue is very striking. It has been cut in an unusual kite shape and has been set east to west creating an excellent chunky look. The rest of the top of the ring is covered in rose cut diamonds, which compliment the blue perfectly. The ring is a chunky piece and makes a real cocktail statement on the hand.
Synthetic sapphires have all the same properties as the natural gemstones, though they have been manmade in a laboratory.
