A pretty open locket pendant from the Victorian period. The pendant started life as a clasp and has been altered in antiquity to be worn as a pendant. It is made from 15ct gold and has a beautiful seed pearl surround to the front. At the centre is a removable frame with a glass front. At some point in this pieces history, a piece of blue glass has been housed in the frame and a lovely 10 point gold star has been set at the centre with a little seed pearl in the middle. The pendant is a beautiful large size and makes quite an impact when worn.
If preferred, the blue glass could be removed and your own momento could be placed behind the frame. In my opinion, the blue glass is a lovely point of interest and looks very pretty on the neck. To the back, the locket has been engraved with the name IBJJ Bullen and the dates 1847 - 1910.
The pendant will come on an 18" 14kt gold fill chain.
