A stunning pair of earrings from the mid Victorian period, c1860s. The earrings are made from silver and have been made in the shape of flowers. They have incredible rose cut diamonds set in the centre, with flat diamond shards set into the petals. Despite the lack of facets on the petal diamonds, these earrings still have a wonderful shimmer and there is plenty of movement when worn in the war. The silver has been gold backed, which has rubbed in places, due to the fact that these earrings are likely to have been altered from their original state.
The earrings have shepherds hook fittings, which have a little leaf design studded with two rose cut diamonds leading to the flowers. These fittings are likely a replacement to whatever was there originally.
