A beautiful pendant from the Victorian period, c1880. The centrepiece of the pendant is the stunning oval aquamarine. The aqua has a beautiful pale blue colour and has lovely deep facets. It measures approximately 10mm by 9mm making it around 2.25 cts, possibly more, due to the lovely depth of the stone. It is claw set in a crown style basket of white gold and backed by 18ct yellow gold. The bale could be a replacement to the original, though it is a Victorian one. It is made from silver and is studded with pretty rose diamonds.
The pendant hangs on a 9ct gold chain measuring 18" hallmarked on the clasp.
