A beautiful and large Victorian brooch from the late 19th Century. The brooch has a wonderful cross of banded agate that has solid silver fittings making it into an anchor. The anchor is a sign of hope and was a popular symbol during this period. The silver of the anchor itself is beautifully etched and there is a silver rope lanyard twisted around the length.
This piece would look beautiful on chunky knitwear and would be very eye-catching.
