A stunning and unusual ring from the mid Victorian period, circa 1880. The center stone is a stunning square cut rhodolite garnet. The garnet has the wonderful pink to purple color that is synonymous with this variation of the gemstone. It is beautifully cut in a slightly off square shape and fairly large in its appearance. On either side of this gorgeous stone are two chrysoberyls. This beautiful accent stone has a pretty pale yellow tone to it and pairs beautifully with the garnet.
The ring is made from 18kt gold, which has been tested, and has an engraving inside the shank saying 'Jane's Love' and a date '5.3.88'. A sweet love token ring in excellent condition. The setting is finished with a pretty engraved scroll style detail on the shoulders of the shank.
