Three gorgeous art glass beads sit in the center of this brooch with brushed gold tone spiky leaf tendrils out of the topsides and bottom. These lovely beads are mostly pink with white, blue and green dots in them and sparkling gold tone fleck swirling through them. On the top of each bead is what looks like a tiny crown with a lovely AB stone in each, another sits in the center of the three beads. All the AB stones glisten and shine! I believe this is from Avon of Belleville as it is numbered in the style of Boucher brooches. Marcel Boucher designed much of their jewelry and Avon of Belleville was in business from 1945 to 1971. It is numbered 1387 and also has CANADA in print under the number which was how some of their brooches were signed. It has not been authenticated but it is has the look, style and the quality workmanship that Boucher is known for. It is 2" long and 11/2" wide at the top, closes with a safety rollover clasp that is in good working order. This would make a lovely pin for Easter!
