From the Nursery Rhyme series done in 1956 by Napco here is "Little Miss Muffet" done as a piggy bank which is very hard to find! In great vintage condition she has minor paint loss and some scuffing on the bottom. With the original black rubber stopper on the bottom which is amazing as those are usually missing. Marked on the bottom "Little Miss Muffett", Napco 1956 and the serial number A1894 D which is all still readable except for the 6 which is barely visible. Coloring is still bright and cheery with minor paint loss limited to the shiny red bows mostly on the back of her head. This lovely piece is 6 1/4" (16 cm) tall and 5 1/2" (14 cm) wide measured on the bottom. She has lovely rosy cheeks, long brown curly hair which is tied up in bows with her dress in pale yellow dotted in blue and red bows around the fringe. Of course her apron is white with the big black spider! Although frightened by the spider she did not drop her curds and whey which is in a white with blue trim bowl along with a blue spoon handle. This lovely and collectible piece makes me say the nursery rhyme in my head and I'm delighted to find out I have not forgotten it!
