What an unusual vintage cross necklace that is sterling silver with a center of what appears to be some kind of copper! The center piece is an off round, not totally flat shape with some raised parts that is held in place with 4 prongs. In very good vintage condition I don't believe this piece was ever worn or taken out of the original box. There may be some tiny scratches on the top front that I see in the pictures but not otherwise. The cross is marked on the front bottom with 925 and a very small maker's mark of a circle with an F (block letter) inside of it. The same maker's mark is also on the bale along with Sterling which I could not get a picture of. The chain that came with it is marked 925 on the spring ring clasp and the tag that has the hole for insertion on one side and connects to the other side is marked sterling on one side and on the other side is marked M.S. Co. The lettering is so small that I could not get a picture but I could see it under magnification. The cross is 1 1/4" long and 3/4" wide with a large sized bale while the chain which is very fine is 16" long in total. I have not cleaned and will let you decide as I like it the way it is and I will also send in the original box which is marked on the bottom Sterling Silver with an item #337102. This is a very unique cross necklace!
