Lovely gold tone sweetheart pin no doubt from the early to mid 1900's that was given by a man to his sweetheart as he went off to war or elsewhere. This pin is in a gold tone metal and has the maker's initials on the back which are T.S.C. but those are the only marks. It has two hearts that are joined together by an ivy vine and leaves. The left heart has the word Mizpah all in capital letters at a slant across the front while the other side has The Lord Watch Between Me & Thee When We Are Absent One From Another. It closes at the back with a simple c clasp which is still in good working order. It is 1 1/4" wide and 3/4" long and in very good vintage condition with mild scratches on the back and a spot around the clasp that could possibly be cleaned up. A nice example of times gone by sweetheart jewelry.
