Lovely beaded vintage necklace by Pauline Rader! The necklace which I have nicknamed the marshmallow necklace because the white beads look like soft white marshmallows! In good vintage condition it does have a couple of issues - there are chips on the black beads which when turned inside cannot be seen, but a small touch of black paint would do the trick. The end cording at the back has discolored over time and with use but not a lot of it shows. Upon magnification the white beads have some crackles but that may be how they are suppose to be. That being said, it is still a great looking necklace and priced accordingly. The Pauline Rader tag is still attached although hard to read. The total length is 31" long and has 5 large black bead which are a painted matte hard plastic, 10 red nugget like beads which are lucite and the remainder are which are a hard snow white plastic and are the size of a small white marshmallow! The middle black bead is the chipped one with a couple of small chips on the top side black one. It closes with a gold tone screw type clasp that is in good working order. In all my searching I have not seen this one so I believe it is an early piece when she did some of her work in plastics. Very collectible!
