This c.1910 collectable tin is in good condition and very scarce. The Muratti Cigarette Company was founded by a Greek tobacco trader Basil Mouratoglou way back in 1821 with the first shop in London opening in 1887. By the time this tin was sold B. Muratti Sons & Co Ltd had tobacco factories in Manchester and London where is was made. Dating from Edwardian days, it originally contained dainty gold tipped cigarettes – much more elegant than your average Will’s Woodbine! Measures 2.75”L x 2.75”H x 9/16” with a hinged lid.
