Featuring a solid wood barber pole, in red white and blue c.1950. During medieval times, barbers performed surgery on customers, as well as tooth extractions. The red stripe represented arterial blood, the blue represented venous blood and the white was for bandages. Today the barber pole represents a place to get your hair cut in most countries. Measuring 27.5”H and 3.25” in diameter at the base. It has some scuffs and scratches, and is in overall good condition.
