This is a beautiful end of the 19th Century Buffet made from an exquisitely patinaed oak and originally coming from the Provence area in the south of France. This piece boasts a pretty facade featuring a 2-drawer frieze above a pair of recessed paneled doors standing on a lovely scrolled apron supported by cabriole legs on escargot feet. Handles and escutcheons are in original condition. The lock and key are original and in working order. The interior compartment is spacious and offers a single shelf. Minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. Circa 1880-1890. Dimensions 39 ½”high/ 41 ½”/ 17"deep.
