This is a splendid Trumeau made from solid pine during the reign of Louis XVI by the second half of the 18th century. This very decorative piece consists of an upper paneled section centering an intricately sculpted embellishment classical of the era, consisting of tied ribbon with wreath foliate chutes, above the original mirror trimmed by raie de cour pattern. Note several minor scratches and dents can be seen on the frame due to the age as well as several dark spots on the mirror. Circa date 1780-1790. Dimensions 56½"high/ 24½"wide.
