This is an exquisite late 19th Century Regency Armchair made from a lovely patinaed mahogany, adorably embellished with inlaid rosewood draperies on the crest and apron, featuring a deep and comfortable seat flanked by elegantly scrolled armrests, all supported by a nice pediment consisting of a pair of turned legs backed up by straight back legs for stability and sturdiness. Note the fine inlaid borders trimming the frame. The upholstery is estimated to be a decade old and is in slightly used but passable condition. Circa date 1880. Dimensions 38"high/ 19"seat height/ 25"wide/ 22"deep.
