This is a simple but adorable pair of double paneled doors made from solid and lovely patinaed walnut by the middle part of the 19th century. This pair of doors, also called Facade by the French, was mounted directly onto the wall to hide a built-in storage compartment (Please refer to the last picture to see an example of the interior of a house near Bayonne Pays Basque in south-western France). Note several minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. Circa date 1860. Dimensions 57 ½”high/ 38 ½”wide/ 39"wide with hinges.
