A stunning and colorful pair of Brackets from the end of the 18th Century during the Louis XVI period, each sculpted from single piece of Rouge de France marble, originally coming from Grez-en-Bouère commune in the Mayenne department in north-western France., massively used during the Renaissance period on Furniture or Architectural elements. The quarry was closed by the end of the 19th Century. Circa date 1780. Dimensions 12"high/ 4"wide/ 3"deep.
