This is a beautifully Country French Buffet, commonly called Enfilade by the French, made from solid and beautifully walnut by the beginning of the 20th century. This nice piece consists of a crossbow-shaped parquet top featuring herringbone design sitting upon the elegant bowed facade. This latter features a central four-drawer column flanked by a pair of arched recessed paneled doors with serpentine-shaped moldings. Note the wheat motifs embellishing the doors. The pediment consists of a nicely scrolled apron centering an intricately sculpted shell flanked by olive tree branches, all supported by boldly built cabriole legs on escargot feet. Locks are in working condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa date 1900-1910. Dimensions 20"high/ 71"wide/ 40"deep.
