This is a handsome set of French Dining Chairs made from solid and nicely patinaed beech at the beginning of the 20th century. This set is inspired of the French Renaissance era and especially the Louis XIII period. Each chair consists of a straight rectangular back standing upon a large square seat supported by baluster-shaped pediment with all the legs connected to each other thanks to a lovely H-shaped stretcher providing stability and sturdiness. The upholstery is in used but still in passable condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa date 1910-1920. Dimensions 41"high/ 18"seat height/ 18"wide/ 18"deep.
