This is a nice and very comfortable pair of large Armchairs, commonly called Bergeres by the French, made from solid and ebonized beech during the middle part of the 20th century. Each featuring an arched back accented with hand painted floral pattern standing upon a deep and large seat flanked by nicely scrolled double caned armrests, all standing on cabriole legs with escargot feet. The floral Rococo upholstery is estimated to be a couple of decade old and still passable. Several minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1960-1970. Dimensions 39"high/ 18"seat height/ 33"wide/ 34"deep. Layaway available for this item.
