This is a lovely Louis XV Style Buffet made by the middle part of the 20th century from solid beech. This charming piece consists of an elegantly simple facade featuring a pair of drawers upon a pair of recessed paneled doors, all standing on a nicely scrolled apron supported by cabriole legs. Note the intricate acanthus shaped accents from the handles mounting the drawers, separated by a rococo escutcheon, to the apron below centering an acanthus ormolu. Locks on the doors are in working condition. The lock in between the drawer is actually a trompe-l'œil for decorative purpose only. The interior compartment is spacious and offer a single shelf. Circa date 1940-1950. Dimensions 39½"high/ 51½"wide/ 20"deep. Layaway available for this item.
