This is a very nice Buffet Deux Corps made from solid and nicely patinaed walnut by the end of the 19th century and originally coming from Saint Paul de Vence in southern France. This lovely piece consists of an upper section mounted with a pair of double paneled recessed doors, standing on a buffet below. Both sections are providing a spacious storage capacity thanks to a couple of large compartments with shelves, separated in their center by a two-drawer frieze. The bottom part is supported by a charming pediment consisting of a scrolled apron, lovely embellished with a shell, flanked by cabriole legs on escargot feet. Minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Locks are in working conditoin. Circa date 1880-1890. Dimensions 82½"high/ 47"wide/ 21"deep. Layaway available for this item.
