This is a very nice Desk made by the second half of the 19th century during the Renaissance revival period following the Napoleon III era. This lovely piece consists of a gadrooned rectangular top sitting upon a straight recessed paneled belt accented with the classical acanthus patterns, all supported by boldly sculpted barley twisted legs connected to each other thanks to a H-shaped stretcher providing stability and sturdiness. This desk offers a large front drawer with a spacious storage capacity. The paint is estimated to be from the end of the 20th century. Minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1870-1880. Dimensions 29½"high/ 46½"long/ 26½"wide. Layaway available for this item.
