A very impressive and beautifully accented Mirror made at the beginning of the 19th Century and directly inspired of the Louis XV period more or less half a century earlier, originally coming from Beziers in the South of France (Beziers, which is dating from 575 BC is one of the oldest cities in France, we strongly advise to google the name of the City to see beautiful pictures of this area). This stunning mirror is boasting an intricate pierced carved cartouche depicting the classical Louis XV Shell surrounded by acanthus and floral patterns, majestically standing above the oval and heavily ornate frame surrounding the original mirror. Note this latter is foggy due to the age, it can be replaced if requested by a new one for a small fee and we will indeed still send you the original mirror in the case you wish to resale it in the future. Minor scratches can be seen on the frame. Circa date 1800. Dimensions 49”high/ 31”wide.
