The portrait is perfectly framed in the original bronze frame which features garlands of flowers attached to a bow at the top, and draped from the bottom.
The oval portion of the portrait, including the frame, measures 2.75 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide. The overall length, including the frame is 4.75 inches by 2.5 inches. The porcelain in in excellent condition, with no damage, and is signed on the back Odalisque after Asti. The frame is in great conditon, and does appear to have an old repair on the back, that is not seen from the front. The fabric on the back of the portrait was replaced because the original was very badly stained. Overall, it is in beautiful condition, and dates to approximately 1900.
