This unique 14K yellow gold stick pin features a rooster, with his head held high as he struts along. The detail in this beautifully made little guy is amazing, showing every feather, and even the bands around his little legs. He would look great on a lapel, scarf, or perhaps on a hat. The pin has a maker's mark of a V inside a circle, and also a tiny gold touch mark that appears to have the numbers 585 at the bottom of the hallmark. 585 is the European mark for 14K gold. Unfortunately, the mark is not crisp and so tiny, that I was unable to get a clear photo of it. It has been acid tested to verify it is 14K gold. This would be a wonderful addition to a stick pin collection, and perfect for the Year of the Rooster.
The stickpin measures 16mm tall by 12.5mm wide, with an overall length of 46mm.
It is in excellent condition, and dates between 1900-1920.
