This 10K yellow gold stick pin features a long oval shaped blue stone that is bezel set as the focal point. The stone is cabochon cut on top with faceting on the back. It is a simulated sapphire, most likely glass. Simulated should not be confused with synthetic. Synthetic stones have the same properties as stones that are natural, whereas a simulated stone does not have those same properties. Nevertheless, this is a very nice stick pin.
