English garnet and opal ring set in 9ct yellow gold. This charming English ring features six rich red faceted garnets in a circle surrounding a round cabochon opal, forming a flower. The stones are all prong set in a 9ct yellow gold setting. It is fully marked with all the British assay marks on the inside of the band. Made in London in 1979.
This ring carries the full English hallmarks or 9 and 375 for 9ct gold, the leopard's head for London, the letter e for 1979, and the maker's mark EKRJ inside the band. There are six 5mm faceted garnets, and one 5mm cabochon opal. The overall measurement of the ring is 17mm. It is a size 7.75, and weighs 4.7 grams. It is in excellent condition, with very light wear to the band.
