Vintage English 18ct or 18K gold halo ring with a sapphire and diamonds. This gorgeous halo ring features an oval sapphire, surrounded by 10 round cut diamonds that are all prong set, with 2 pave set diamonds on the each side of the band. The band is domed and has a nice thickness to it, and the setting containing the main stones is done in a crown shape. The sapphire is 5 x 7mm and weighs approximately .8 carats, while the diamonds weight approximately .75 carats. The diamonds are clean and white with wonderful sparkle. The sapphire has some very tiny abrasions that are only noticeable under a loupe, and are only mentioned for accuracy. There is a lot of gold in this ring - it weighs 7.1 grams, and is a size 6. It measures 13mm x 11mm. It looks beautiful on the hand. The ring has full English hallmarks - the crown and 750 for 18ct, the anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter for 1992. The halo ring was made popular by Princess Diana.
