Antique European 14K yellow gold amethyst pendant and earring set. Exquisite best describes this stunning earring and pendant set that dates to c.1900 - 1910. This exquisite set features gold panels that are etched, each accented with a tiny diamond. At the bottom of each piece is a gorgeous cushion cut amethyst. The camera just doesn't do the amethysts justice. Each piece is fully articulated, allowing for beautiful fluid movement. The earrings are for pierced ears, each with a post and clutch back, and the pendant has a generous bail on the back. Each piece is marked 585, the European mark for 14K, and has the maker's mark which is a flower inside a circle. The marks are on the loop that attaches the amethyst to each piece. This exquisite set would be a great addition to any fine jewelry collection.
Each piece is marked 585, along with a maker's mark of a flower inside a circle. The three amethysts measure 12mm in length and width, and weigh approximately 4.5 to 5 carats total. There are 8 tiny accent diamonds. The pendant measures 2.25 inches long and .56 inches wide, the earrings - 1.7 inches long by .56 inches wide. There is one small dent to the center loop on the pendant, otherwise, the set is in excellent condition.
