Art Deco Napier 14K gold and sterling silver cigarette or card case. This beautiful case from the Art Deco period, c. 1920 - 40, features an engine turned design that was so popular during that era. It is made of sterling silver, with rose gold and yellow gold band inlays on both the front and back. The interior of the case has a gold wash. There is a cartouche in the center front with the initials JLL. This wonderful case can be used for cigarettes, or can be an alternative to a wallet to hold cash & credit cards, or can be used as a very impressive business card holder. It measures 4.12 inches x 3 inches and weighs 104 grams or 67.7 pennyweights or 3.38 troy ounces. The interior clip has a nice chased design, and is nice and tight. The closure on the side works crisply. The back of the clip is marked Napier, the maker, and the inside edge is marked 14K and Sterling. The case has some light scratches that are to be expected with age, and is in great condition. It has a wonderful shine to it.
