Sterling necklace with an 800 silver Egyptian scarab pendant. I got this piece at an estate auction. It is a marriage of a Mexican sterling silver choker necklace and an 800 silver Egyptian lapis scarab pendant. The simplicity of the collar shows off the scarab pendant beautifully. The collar has 2 twists about 2 inches apart in the front, but is otherwise plain throughout. It is marked on the back 925 Mexico CII. The wonderfully detailed lapis scarab is marked with the Egyptian mark for 800 silver. The mark dates the pendant to 1960. The collar is about 14.25 inches around with about a 2 inches opening. It is very flexible, goes on easily, and can be to best fit you. The beautifully detailed scarab pendant measures 1.38 inches long by .75 inches wide. Even the back of the pendant has great detail. Both pieces show a little wear, but are otherwise in great condition.
