Lovely, sterling silver double handled tea strainer made by Currier and Roby of New York, and retailed by Ensko of New York. It measures just under 6inches from handle to handle, with the bowl being 2.94 inches in diameter and .88 inches deep. It is a heavy, solid tea strainer, weighing 61.5 grams - just a half a gram under 2 ounces. The underside of one of the handles is marked with the Currier & Roby makers mark, sterling, and the number 176. The side is marked ENSKO, which is the name of the retailer. It is in overall excellent condition, with only a tiny pinpoint size ding to the outer edge of the bowl and very light wear.
Currier & Roby were in business from 1900 until the early 1940's, and were the makers of small high quality silver items.
