English 18ct or 18K gold and sterling silver bird cufflinks. Each cufflink features a pair of stylized birds in flight. The birds are made from solid 18ct gold and are attached to the sterling cufflinks by posts. You can see on the back of the cufflinks where the gold bird plaques are attached. The silver behind the birds is nicely finished to give an engine turned look. The cufflinks have T bars on the back. Each cufflink measures 22mm wide by 17mm. They are fully hallmarked on the back, showing they are sterling (lion passant), made in London , date letter N, and 18ct for the gold content. They also have a makers mark of EJ Ld, which I believe may be for Exquisite Jewellery Ltd, a London jewelry maker. Regardless of who the maker is, they are beautifully made. This is a fine pair of solid cufflinks, in great condition, and they date to 1987.
