Antique2Estate Jewels
is now SOLDLove Birds! In 14 karat yellow gold and enamel. Happily spinning around. This very fanciful, mechanical charm is made by Henry Dankner and Sons in the 1960s. When wound, the birds spin in their cage while sitting on their swing. They can see themselves reflected in the high polished gold disc below them. The mechanical mechanism has been cleaned by a master watchmaker so it is in very good working order. The colors of the enamel are pink, red, light blue, navy blue, and black. There is some slight enamel damage on the birds heads, light surface wear consistent with age and a few larger scratches in the gold on the base of the charm. The charm measures approximately 1 1/4” tall and 3/4” wide and weighs 12.8 grams. It is hallmarked on the base with a wreath with a D inside it and stamped 14K Gold. Great overall condition and very collectible. It is rare to see these love birds. Romantic and joyful. They make me smile.
