14 karat yellow gold Medusa medallion. Medusa is depicted in high relief as a fierce, strong woman with her steady gaze and entwined snakes for hair. Many of the snakes have their mouths open, ready to strike! She is adorned with a beautiful necklace and she is quite beautiful as well. I believe she brings strength and beauty to the wearer. Many of the pictures have a dark reflection off the gold but are not on the actual piece. The medallion measures approximately 7/8” wide and has a hinged pendant bail. It is engraved 14k on the back and weighs 6.1 grams. Although the medallion is 14 karat gold it has a high karat finish ( slightly worn off the back) so would look perfect on an 18k or 20k chain.
