Exquisite Victorian crystal and diamond ring dating from approximately 1850-1880. There is a lovely reverse intaglio depicting a daisy flower under the crystal. So sweet. It is surrounded by twenty-six rose cut diamonds. Two of the diamonds have a small chip and the crystal has a small chip on one edge. These are very difficult to see. I found them with a ten power loupe. Overall, this ring is in great vintage condition for being over one hundred years old. Age appropriate, this ring is unmarked but has been gently tested to be 14 karat gold. The top of the ring measures 15.5 mm. The ring measures a size 5 1/2 but there is a little extra space so it would also fit a 5 3/4. It weighs 5.5 grams.
I have not polished this ring as it would destroy the lovely patina that has developed over the years. This is more of a special occasion ring. Not to be worn gardening or mountain climbing. It appears to be all original and it very good vintage condition. A ring that has been handed down through generations and treated with care and love. It can be sized but I feel that would destroy its lovely patina. My opinion, of course.
