This gorgeous sterling silver watch chain dates from the 1880's or 1890's. The chain itself is a triple strand of rope-twisted silver, attached to heavier chains at each end. One end has a toggle marked "sterling." This is the only mark. There are two engraved slides that move back and forth along the triple strand chain. Between them is a fob that drops 2 1/2." The fob engraved fob has fringe that matches the design of the chain. The chain may be worn as an actual watch chain, or it may be worn as a necklace. It measures 14" long. With just a bit of additional length it will fit most women. The fob and slides have decorative work on both sides that appears identical. The silver has a soft luster instead of a hard shine. The slides are 5/8" X 7/8;" the fob is 3/4" wide. This necklace/watch chain is in excellent original condition. It weighs 27.5 grams.
Gender: Unisex, Age Group: Adult, Color: silver, Size: 14"
