This very pretty quilt is ca. 1950. It has colors of pink, rose, green, glue, and gray. The backing is pale pink, and there is a pink scalloped binding. The quilt is slightly faded but has no apparent signs of wear. There are a few (pictured) faint brown age spots on this quilt, not noticeable from a distance. The design is of twining morning glories with some forget-me-nots as accents. The leaves are green and gray. Embroidery work enhances the applique work. The centers of the morning glories are studded with french knots. All work on this quilt is by hand. The pattern quilting is 8-9 stitches per inch. The fabrics are sturdy 100% cotton, enabling this quilt to be machine washed and dried in a dryer. This quilt was photographed on a full sized bed. It measures 72" X 90" and makes a nice bedspread for a twin bed. Your little girl will love this quilt on her bed.
