This pretty crystal cranberry glass flagon with matching tumbler was made in Czechoslovakia during the 1970's. The set is called a guest set, or tumble-up, and was a guest-room accessory in case one wanted a drink of water in the middle of the night. It consists of a flagon and matching tumbler. When not in use, the tumbler is upended over the spout of the flagon. This set has hand-applied white enamel decoration in the style of Victorian Mary Gregory glass. A girl in an apron is shown with a palette and brush with a landscape in the background. The decorations show nice detail. This set is in excellent original condition with no issues. There are no marks; such pieces had paper labels originally. The carafe is 4" in diameter and 7" tall; the tumbler is 3 3/4" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter.
