This Native American Navaho cuff bracelet features four Kingman turquoise nuggets. The stones are somewhat polished but retain much of their original natural appearance; they have darkened to a deep green-blue. The stones are bezel set onto a niello ground that is recessed below a rectangular "window" in the silver work. The upper portion of this hand-wrought piece features incised symbols around the "window." The cuff is signed "R. Cadman." It tests sterling but has no silver mark. This cuff has been worn and shows signs of this, such as minor dents and scratches. Even hollow, this chunky piece weighs 82.7 grams. It is 2" wide. The inside circumference is 6 1/2" with an opening of 1 1/2." It grips the wrist tightly. This wonderful bracelet dates from between 1940 and 1970.
