This gorgeous bangle bracelet is hand-wrought of sterling silver (tested but not marked). A bezel-set polished cabochon amber stone is nestled below silver branches and leaves like a ripe piece of fruit. The stone is lovely; it is a light, clear reddish brown with fossilized spores and a leaf suspended inside. The back is open so that light penetrates; the spores reflect the light so that they gleam. This cabochon is 1 1/8" X 7/8" X 3/8" thick. The bracelet is 1 1/2" wide with an inside diameter of 2 3/8." This bracelet fits an average to above-average-sized wrist. The bracelet is a hinged bangle that opens wide; the clasp is easy to work and is held closed by the hinged safety. It can be worn on the wrist with the stone up or down, whichever looks best. This bracelet is around 15-25 years old and is probably from the Baltic Sea area of Europe. The bracelet is in excellent original condition; it weighs 23.9 grams.
