This beautiful semi-porcelain deep plate, or soup bowl, is from New Wharf Pottery Co. of Burslem, Staffordshire, England, and dates from between 1890 and 1894. The pattern, "Conway," is a pretty, delicate one with a touch of Art Nouveau. The color is a deep, rich blue with moderate flowing. There is a pressed design in the pottery around the rim of the bowl that adds elegance. This 9" soup bowl (1 1/2" deep) is in excellent original condition with only a few tiny, barely visible marks to show that it was used a bit.
