English Staffordshire Pottery Lustre-Ware Jug
This English ironstone pottery jug is decorated with a flow-blue underglaze and trimmed with copper lustre work. The jug is from Charles Allerton & Sons and dates from around 1891. The decoration is in in excellent condition but the jug itself has a few issues; a hairline near the handle, a star in the bottom (does not go all the way through) and crazing and darkening within. However, it is an unusual piece and very decorative. The jug measures 8 1/2" tall X just under 5" in diameter. The pattern is called "Wheel."
