This little sterling silver spoon from the Webster Company of North Attleboro, Vermont dates from around the turn of the twentieth century; the bowl of the spoon is large and the handle short. The spoon is 3 7/8" long and 1 1/4" wide. It weighs .5 oz. The spoon is in excellent original condition with no teeth marks or other signs of wear. The handle is decorated with an enameled bear in colors of black, red, yellow, blue, orange, and green. The bear is carrying a book held in a strap; he is probably on his way to school. This whimsical piece would make a great baby gift.
