A special agate, or jasper, stone is the focal point of this Navaho silver cuff bracelet. The agate has a scenic quality; it looks like bluffs against the sky at sunset in the desert. Such agates come from the American southwest. They are referred to as "picture jasper." This beautiful stone has been polished smooth; it is a 1 1/2" X 1 1/8" oval. The stone is bezel set into a simple hand-wrought mounting of sterling (unmarked but tested) silver. This cuff bracelet is 1 7/8" wide. The inside circumference is 6 3/4" with an opening of 1 1/8." It fits an above average sized wrist. This ca. 1970's bracelet is in excellent original condition. It weighs 44.6 grams.
