This very pretty vintage patchwork quilt is from the Depression Era, ca. 1930-1950. The hand-pieced, then hand-appliqued circles, or "plates," utilized printed cotton fabrics of the era. There is a pretty scalloped border made up of wedges of matching floral fabrics alternating with white. The binding, a bit worn, is pink. This quilt is also quilted by hand at 6-7 stitches per inch. This quilt is clean and ready to show in your home. It is 100% cotton, machine-washable and dry-able in the dryer. It measures 72" X84" and will fit a twin sized bed (or lay over the top of a full or queen). This quilt was found in the Chicago suburbs.
