Zuni Sterling & Channel Inlay Drop Earrings
These earrings are signed on the back "G. Toadias sterling" on the back. They are of Native American Zuni origin and probably date from the 1970's or 1980's. The traditional design is a round shield set with turquoise and mother of pearl with a center medallion that also includes jet and coral. The beautiful inlay work was all done by hand. The shields are attached to posts with a pretty turquoise and pearl front. They are 3/4" in diameter and drop 1 1/2" from the post. They weigh 8 grams. The condition is excellent.
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: silver, mother of pearl, turquoise, black, red, Size: 3/4" X 1 1/2"
