Here is a nineteenth century majolica salad dish in the shape of a leaf. It is 8 1/4" long X 5 1/4" wide X 1" deep. It is the perfect size for a small salad. It is colorful with a dark green-to-black glaze predominating; accent colors are pink, yellow, cranberry, and white. This dish in in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and no discernible wear. The mark is illegible. It is probably an old American piece and likely dates from around 1890.
